About the Christopher Kohl's Fire Department...

The Christopher-Kohl's Fire Department is a rural-volunteer fire, EMS and rescue service. Situated at the base of the impressive Mogollon Rim in the heart of Arizona, CKFD provides emergency response to those in need.

Christopher Kohl's FD has three stations supporting the ever-growing rim communities, with over a thousand acres of developments plus a new, divided four-lane stretch of Highway 260. The principal response area covers the communities from beyond Kohl's Ranch to Ponderosa Estates with elevations ranging between 5,300 and 6,300 feet and Highway 260 to the top of the Mogollon Rim

With the geographic dispersion of the rural Rim communities, the three stations are strategically located to provide rapid emergency response. In addition, the sister communities of Tonto Village, Star Valley, Payson, Pine/Strawberry, Forest Lakes, Heber/Overgaard along with the Forest Service provide valuable mutual aid.

The members of the Christopher-Kohls Fire Department live work and participate in the communities they serve. That participation extends to serving as advisors for personal, home and property safety. Christopher-Kohls Fire Department can be called upon to advise on such things as defensible space around buildings, firewood storage, forest litter on rooftops, spark arrestors on chimneys and placement of smoke detectors. These fine professionals are more than willing to be your Community resource.
